A delegation of the Bahrain Quality Assurance Authority for Education and Training (QAAET) visited Japan to participate in the 3rd Annual Asian Conference on Education held in Osaka on Oct. 27 – 30, 2011. The QAAET is an independent national body that was formed as one of the initiatives to implement the education reform announced in Bahrain in 2005. Prior to the conference, the delegation members – Dr. Jawaher S. Al-Mudhahki (Chief Executive), Dr. Hasan Y. Al-Hammadi (Senior Director, Schools Review Unit), Dr. Basma Al-Baharna (Director, Higher Education Review unit), and Mrs. Esmat Jaffar (Director, Vocational Review Unit) – together with H.E. Dr Khalil Hassan (Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Japan), inspected various efforts of Japanese educational institutions around Tokyo, such as infant education in the nature, small-group education at primary schools, super-science education at secondary schools, well-equipped hands-on education at vocational schools, competitive university education well-affiliated with earlier-stage education, teachers’ trainings, etc.
