H.E. Dr Khalil Hassan, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Japan, attended the Public Symposium on Educational Research “The Great East Japan Earthquake and Schools: Innovation in School Administration and Educational Instruction” held at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and organized by national Institute for Educational Policy Research (NIER), Supported by MOFA Japan, Japan Society for the Promotion of Education and Research, National Federation of Educational Policy Research Institutes. The Symposium offered an insight into the innovations in school administration and educational instruction that the schools in these areas had made or were seeking to make against various difficulties, and an insight into case examples of education field initiatives in various nations that had suffered large-scale disasters. It disseminated information across Japan and the rest of the world about the educational activities in the disaster areas, and the sincerity that underpin them. Finally, the symposium also repressed an opportunity to obtain some suggestions on the ideal formats for future educational policy from educational practices that have been conducted under extraordinary difficult circumstances.
