Dec. 13: Bahrain Seminar “Hidden Attraction of Bahrain”

A seminar was held in Tokyo by the Economic Development Board of Bahrain (EDB) and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain, supported by Japan Cooperation?Center for the Middle East (JCCME), to promote direct investment in Bahrain from companies which wish to explore expanding their business in the Middle East.
Dr. Khalil Hassan, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Japan and Mr. Kazuo Imahira, Executive Representative of EDB Japan Office hosted the luncheon, where about 45 people attended. Guest Speaker, H.E. Mr. Shigeki Sumi, Ambassador of Japan to the Kingdom of Bahrain presented “Current Bahrain” with diplomat’s perspective to cover widely from political issue as well as potential business from Japan to Bahrain and to the region. Comparative advantages of Bahrain in business environment compared with the other GCC countries were provided, and the discussion with each attendee during the luncheon made EDB enable to grasp the current business attitude towards the Middle East. Those who attended deepened their understandings in doing business in Bahrain.
