A de-briefing for Diplomatic Mission in Tokyo on “the The 10th Informal Meeting on Further Actions against Climate Change” was hosted by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan at their Headquarter. Government officials from 30 Parties of the UNFCCC, representative on behalf of COP17/CMP7 President Ms. Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, Chair of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action under Convention (AWG-LCA), UNFCCC, UNDP, the World Bank and the GEF, as well as Mr. Abdulla Hamad A. Al-Attiyah, President of Administration Control and Transparency Authority of the State of Qatar as incoming COP/CMP President attended the Meeting held on March 1st and 2nd. Diplomatic Missions and International Organization in Tokyo were invited to understand the result of “The 10th Informal meeting on further Actions Climate Change” co-hosted by Brazil and Japan on March 1-2. Participants also exchanged views on a wide variety of cooperation on climate change including institutional arrangements and the need of seamless support for developing countries. They shared the importance to continue to discuss these issues in a creative, constructive and cooperative manner.
