November 25th 2012: Goi Peace Foundation Forum 2012 on “Values of Happiness”

Dr. Khalil Hassan, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Japan attended the Goi Peace Foundation’s forum with a lecture of Ms. Helena Norberg-Hodge, the founder and director of the international society for Ecology and Culture, and a pioneer of the “new economy” movement. The forum explored how can make a shift towards a better life and a better world.
The speakers including Ms. Helena Norberg-Hodge, Mr. Hideki Kato, the president of Japan initiative, Mr. Takashi Tachibana, Entrepreneur and a fisherman, Mr. Masami Saionji, Chairperson of the Goi Peace Foundation discussed strategies for building healthy, resilient communities and alternative to the old paradigm of economic growth. The forum concluded with a musical performance by Soprano singer Erika Colon.
