June 17, 2009 Chiba City Hata Elementary School Visited the Embassy

On June 17 in the morning, seven children, aged 10-12 years old, from Chiba City Hata Elementary School visited the Embassy as a part of their social studies program with a teacher and a parent.

After nearly one hour of briefing about the Kingdom of Bahrain by movie and photos by an Embassy staff, Dr. Khalil, the Ambassador welcomed them to answer their questions.

The questions ranged from the monetary notes in Bahrain, costumes, animals, and the environment.

Dr. Khalil was happy to receive such questions, and especially impressed by those related to the environment. Dr. Khalil explained that increase of sandstorm and dry-up of the land are the phenomena caused by the climate change due to the recent global warming and encouraged the children to save the energy to preserve the nature.
