On Feburary 3 and 4, 2016, H.E. Dr. Khalil Hassan, Ambassador, joined the Diplomats’ Study Tour co-organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tochigi Prefecture. During the tour, the Ambassador visited history, culture and industry related facilities, such as a Mashiko-yaki Pottery factory, the Oya Stone Historical Museum and Nikko Toshogu Shrine which is enshrined by Ieyasu Tokugawa, the first Shogun of the Edo Shogunate that flourished between the 17th and 19th centuries, in order to deepen his understanding of Japan. There were 22 diplomats from 15 countries and a delegation. H.E. Dr. Khalil Hassan delivered a speech during the Welcome reception on behalf of participating diplomats.
