The lecture titled “America’s Strategic Restraint and its Implications for the U.S.-Japan Alliance” was held at Nippon Foundation Building.
The Sasakawa Peace Foundation organized the lecture, whose speaker was Dr. Patrick M. Cronin, Senior Advisor and Senior Director of the Asia Program at the Center for a New America Security. From the Embassy, Ambassador Dr. Khalil attended the lecture.
Dr. Cronin shed light on paths Japan could take as an ally of the U.S. in a changing international environment characterized by the rise of emergent nations and American restraint in both spending and military investment.
