July 5, 2010 Bahrain EDB Executive Luncheon Held in Osaka

EDB Executive Luncheon was held at Hotel Granvia Osaka, hosted by Economic Development Board Bahrain, co-hosted by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain and Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, supported by Kobe Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kyoto Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Jetro Osaka, and cooperated by Osaka Foundation for Trade & Industry.

Dr. Khalil Hassan, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain made Welcome remarks, followed by the presentations “Concealed potential attraction of Bahrain” and “Setting up a Business in Bahrain” by Economic Development Board Japan Office. Then Mr. Shunsuke Ito, Deputy General Manager, Project Dep. Sasakura Engineering Co.,Ltd. made special presentation “Business Operation in the Kingdom of Bahrain.” The seminar was concluded by Mr. Kazuo Imahira, Economic Development Board, Executive Representative of Japan Office.

Main purpose of the seminar was to promote direct investment in Bahrain from those companies in Kansai Area which wish to explore expanding their business in the Middle East. Accordingly, Several companies attended showed interst in doing business in Bahrain. For the next seminar outside Tokyo, EDB is planning it in Nagoya.
