October 22, 2010 UN Day 2010 Held at the United Nations University

Celebrating the United Nations Day, the talk show on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) was held. Mr. Konrad Osterwalder (Rector, UNU) and Mr. Iku Yamahana (Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs) were the main speakers.
From the Bahrain Embassy, Mr. Ahmed Al-Teraifi, Third Secretary participated in the event to discuss on the Millennium Development Goals which aim to drastically reduce global poverty by 2015.
Mr. Al-Teraifi also focused on the obligations of the Kingdom of Bahrain on achieving the Millennium Development Goals and to strengthen its cooperation with the United Nations and international organizations, and the pursuit of the Kingdom for its full and complete as an active member of the international community.
H. E. Mr. Ban ki-moon (UN Secretary-General ) delivered a speech by Video message, talking about the Millennium Development Goals and calling to work hard to achieve the Millennium Development Goals.
