October 27, 2010 Blue Planet Prize Commemorative Lectures Held

Blue Planet Prize Commemorative Lectures were held at the U Thant International Conference Hall, the United Nations University, organized by the Asahi Glass Foundation.
The lecturers were Dr. James Hansen, Director at Goddard Institute for Space Studies, Adjunct professor in the Dept. of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Columbia University, and Dr. Robert Watson, Chief Scientific Adviser of the UK Dept. for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), Chair of Environmental Science and Science Director at Tyndall Center for Climate Change Research, the University of East Anglia.
From the Embassy, Dr. Khalil Hassan, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Japan attended the lectures to commemorate the 2010 Blue Planet Prize.
