The lecturer was Dr. Charles A. Kupchan, Professor of International Affairs, School of Foreign Service and Department of Government, Georgetown University and Senior Fellow and Director of European Studies, Council on Foreign Relations.
From the Embassy, Dr. Khalil Hassan, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Japan attended the lecture to explore when and how enmity gives way to amity and offer novel insights into the causes of peace, referencing historical case studies that range from the thirteen the century through the present and span the globe.
