November 10, 2010 Round Table Meeting on Railways Technologies Held

Round Table Meeting titled “Energy Saving Railways Technologies” was held at Makuhari Messe, organized by UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Develpment Organization) ITPO (Investment and Technology Promotion Office) Tokyo, and Tokyo + Fuji Sankai Business i.
Dr. Toshiji Takatsu, Executive Director of Japan Railways Construction Transport and Technology Agency and other experts joined the discussion.
In the meeting, the participants got more familiarized with trains and railways in Japan, and their historical development. Then the participants were introduced of the current technological progress in this field, and how to save energy in the modern railways, as well as for future projects.
From the diplomatic missions in Tokyo, 35 embassies participated in the discussion. From the Embassy, Mr. Ahmed Al Teraifi, Third Secretary joined the table.
